Official Privacy Policy for PDFly: Fast, Simple & Powerful PDF Editor & Manager
Package: com.martial.pdfly Developer: Suraj Sahani (martialcoder) Effective Date: October 27, 2026 100% On-Device & Offline Zero Remote Telemetry

1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to PDFly, an on-device application and web utility designed to provide fast, reliable, and powerful PDF viewing, text editing, adaptive whiteout, drawing annotations, and document management capabilities, developed by Suraj Sahani ("Developer", "we", "our", or "us").

We respect your fundamental right to privacy. We firmly believe that your invoices, contracts, personal records, and business documents belong solely to you. This Privacy Policy details our strict principles regarding document handling, storage permissions, and zero data collection when you use PDFly on mobile (Android) or online via EditPro.

Core Privacy Guarantee: PDFly operates 100% locally on your device. We never collect, store, transmit, upload, or sell your documents, text replacements, signatures, drawings, photos, or personal metadata to any remote server or third party. Your files never leave your device.

2. Document Processing & Local Storage

All document operations execute entirely within your device's native sandboxed runtime without server-side processing:

📄 On-Device PDF Rendering & Canvas Engine

When you open a PDF, document pages are decoded into local volatile memory via native Android PdfRenderer or in-browser WebAssembly. Pinch-to-zoom, panning, and high-DPI rasterization occur entirely offline.

✍️ In-Place Text Editing & Whiteout

All in-place text edits, adaptive background whiteout patches, numbers, prices, and stroke erasures are written directly into the newly generated PDF file on your device via native PdfDocument. None of this data is cached or transmitted off-device.

🗂️ Page Reordering & Rotation

Page rotation (90°, 180°, 270°), reordering, duplication, and metadata adjustments execute entirely within local application sandbox storage.

3. Android System Permissions & Scoped Storage

PDFly complies with Google's strictest Android Storage & Permission guidelines:

📁 Android Storage Access Framework (SAF)

PDFly uses the system document picker (Intent.ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT and Intent.ACTION_CREATE_DOCUMENT). You choose exactly which document to open and where to save exports. PDFly never requests broad storage access (such as MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) and cannot see or scan files that you haven't explicitly picked.

📷 Image & Camera Access (Optional)

If you choose to scan a document or stamp an image using your camera or gallery, the photo is processed directly in local memory to generate the PDF and is never uploaded anywhere.

4. Zero Telemetry, Analytics & Advertising

To guarantee complete confidentiality and maximum performance:

5. Web Studio Privacy (https://editpro.space/pdf/)

When using the companion PDFly Web Studio on editpro.space/pdf/, all PDF rendering and editing is executed locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly (pdf.js and pdf-lib). Your documents are never uploaded to our web servers.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

PDFly is a general utility document editor suitable for users of all ages, including students and educators. Because our app does not collect, retain, or transmit any personally identifiable information from any user, it fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Data Security & Retention

Because all documents reside exclusively within your device's private app sandbox or designated file directories, your data is protected by the operating system's sandbox isolation and encryption. If you uninstall PDFly or use "Clear Data" in your device settings, any app-cached temporary files are immediately removed.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect upcoming features or regulatory requirements. Any updates will always be published on this page with an updated Effective Date.
